Our Story

Ki Ora, we’re Danica & Nick (Mr & Mrs Joy)

We started this journey in 2015 sharing yoga, meditation & mindfulness.

Our passion for mindful living has led us to teach all over Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton and Raglan. 

Mindfulness has had a profound impact on our life and we think it will for you too! It’s about being in the now – with acceptance, love, kindness and compassion.

Danica Joy

Co-Founder, Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Reiki Master

Danica has been a student and teacher of yoga, meditation & mindfulness for almost 10 years.

Originally from Australia, she moved to Raglan, New Zealand to share her passion for mindful living. She offers interactive and meaningful sessions for groups and individuals and soon will be a mumma to baby Joy!

She has a deep love for the work of Wayne Dyer who spent his life teaching positive psychology and the power of your mind. 

Nick Joy

Co-Founder, Meditation Teacher & Reiki Master

Nick is a passionate teacher of Meditation and Mindfulness. He’s studied various teachings of the practice and brings his experience working with groups as a tour guide to bring people together in a fun, interactive way. 

Nick is hugely passionate about energy work and is a Reiki Master. He lives and breathes mindfulness and loves sharing with groups and individuals.

His work sees him sharing in workplaces, within the community and at home in Raglan.  

 

Joyful Pooches

Mindfulness Gurus

Yogi and Bosco live and breathe joy. They’ve attended many of our mindfulness sessions – starting when they were just tiny little puppies. They bring so much happiness wherever they go – so if your a doggy fan, we can bring the pooches to you for community and corporate well-being.

Yogi’s favourite things are cuddles, ALL food types, her bed, bike rides and enjoys a down dog after every nap.

Bosco loves it when Nick takes him for a mountain bike ride, it’s his absolute favourite thing! He also loves cuddles, playing with his dog mates at the beach and teddy bears. 

Our Philosophy

Mindfulness can help you be calmer, more open-minded, optimistic and grateful – it’s why we’ve practiced it for so many years and the reason we teach it. Because everyone deserves to live a joyful life. Mindfulness is about appreciating the small things, as well as the big.
